How It Works?
Thread lift if a non-surgical minimally invasive lifting technique that uses 100% bio-absorbable threads to contour the shape of the face, neck and nose.
The procedure involves the insertion of threads about 5mm under the skin with a thin yet flexible cannula. The cannula gently pushes aside the skin to minimise discomfort and bruising. No incision of the skin is made. Once the threads are inserted, they can be tightened as desired. The threads act as a permanent support structure for the tissue of the face and neck, helping to redefine facial contours and induce collagen production. The ends of the threads are cut off; no stitches are necessary. An ideal procedure that immediately helps to give contour, lift and shape the face as desired without going under the knife. The threads have been scientifically proven to be fully absorbed by the body in 6 to 8 months, however the effect of the treatment can last for up to 2 years as the body starts to produce new collagen and tissue fibroblasts, which will in turn result in tighter skin and a lifting effect, making one look rejuvenated and refreshed.
Different Types of Threads
There are 2 main types of threads – PLA threads are made from Poly Lactic Acid material while PDO threads are made from Polydioxanone material. Both materials are safe, 100% bio-absorbable and have been used for other surgical applications as well.
Depending on the area of concern and the results you wish to achieve, the doctor will be able to advise which type of thread is best suited.

How Long Do The Results Last?
Depending on an individual’s ageing process and lifestyle, the visible rseults can last up to 12 – 18 months. Patients also have the option of enhancing the results by combining other treatments such as fillers or Ultherapy or Thermage.
Is There Any Downtime?
You can expect some slight swelling, bruising or redness that may disappear within 3-5 days.
