What is Thermage CPT?
Thermage Comfort Pulse Technology (CPT) Body is a non-invasive body contouring solution for loose skin and wrinkles. Thermage CPT utilises radiofrequency energy to contour, smooth, and tighten loose skin for a naturally youthful appearance. How Does It Work?
As we age, our skin gets thinner and more fragile because of reduced collagen production. When our body loses its ability to produce new collagen, our skin eventually loses its elasticity and firmness, causing it to sag. The anti-ageing technology of Thermage CPT combats this collagen loss by stimulating collagen growth for smoother and more supple skin.
Thermage directs radiofrequency (RF) energy deep into the skin’s tissue to heat the deep dermis. This uniform heating effect promotes new collagen production, on top of remodelling existing collagen fibres. Thermage CPT builds on the Thermage technology, with greater efficacy and comfort than before. The Comfort Pulse Technology enhances patient comfort because of its built-in cooling and vibration technology.
The RF heat energy pulses are alternated with cooling bursts, creating a sensation that is confusing to the nervous system. This is known as Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) Therapy, a proven pain relief method. As the cooling sensation interrupts the heat pulses, it disrupts the sending of discomfort and pain signals, leading to improved comfort levels.
In addition, Privé Clinic can enlist an anaesthetist to ensure minimal discomfort during this treatment, but this is entirely optional.
