What is Thermage FLX™?
Thermage FLX is the 4th generation treatment that helps tightens skin to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles though non-invasive methods. It works by using patented Mono-polar Capacitive Radiofrequency technology to create a uniform heating effect in the deep, collagen-rich layers of the skin. This gentle heating tightens and remodels existing collagen matrix and concurrently stimulates the production of new collagen, resulting in an immediate lifting effect. A well-defined three-dimensional skin contour can be achieved – all with little-to-no downtime!
What are the differences between the new generation Thermage FLX and Thermage CPT?
Just like its predecessor, the 4th generation Thermage FLX device also uses radiofrequency technology to target collagen-rich layers of the skin. It builds on the benefits of the prior generation Thermage CPT for improved performance.

The New Total Tip 4.0 has a larger tip and can reach a bigger surface area, thus it is able to speed up treatment by up to 25%.

How does Thermage FLX work?
As we age, collagen in our skin breaks down, which leads to the formation of fine lines, wrinkles, skin sagging and loosening. Thermage FLX™ treatment uses radiofrequency technology to heat the deeper, collagen-rich layers of the skin. This causes existing collagen matrix to contract and encourages new collagen to start regenerating. Visible tightening results can be seen immediately, and will continue to improve over the next 4-6 months.

How soon will I see results? How long will the results last?
After the treatment, the results will continue to improve in the first 6 months and its effects can last up to 12 months according to clinical research studies. The results are subjected to individual skin condition, age, genetics, lifestyle and diet.
Is the treatment painful?
The treatment is relatively comfortable. Patients may feel a brief heating sensation when the treatment device’s tip touches the skin, followed by a cooling sensation to minimize any discomfort.
Does the treatment have any downtime?
Some patients experience slight redness or minor swelling after the treatment which typically subsides in 24 hours. Thermage FLX is a non-invasive treatment with no downtime – patients can usually can get back to their normal daily routine immediately after treatment.
